After much thoughtful consideration by the Library Board of Trustees and community partners, based on the guidance and guidelines provided by the CDC and Illinois Department of Health, we are taking preventative actions to do our part to help minimize the spread of COVID-19. Fossil Ridge Public Library will be closing to the public and suspending all services from Tuesday, March 17 until further notice.
These changes to our services are a precautionary measure and are not due to any known exposure to COVID-19 at our Library.
Due dates for physical materials will be extended and no fines will accrue during this time.
We encourage you to do your part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you’re not feeling well, please stay home and seek medical attention as appropriate. Practice good hygiene and handwashing. These healthy habits really do make a difference when it comes to preventing the spread of illness.
Remember, many library resources are available online. If you’re able, please take advantage of our eBooks, and online learning, and more from home. Watch our website and social media for any further updates.
Stay safe, everyone.
