About Your Bookmobile

The Fossil Ridge Public library has been providing bookmobile service since 1994.

You’ll find our bookmobile at four schools, K-8th grades, helping approximately 700 students. Our travels also take us to eight communites in Grundy, Kankakee and Will counties. Our library district covers 160.3 square miles, of which, the bookmobile travels approximately 1,000 miles a month!

The Bookmobile staff members are Bart and Sue.

Touch-a-Truck at GPD. Free, fun family event exploring vehicles of all types and sizes from the community, including the Fossil Ridge Bookmobile. No Registration, located at Godley Park.

Chappaquiddick
Toddlers and their caregivers can explore and play with different toys and sensory materials each week, develop fine and gross motor skills, as well as social interaction and language skills. Caregivers must accompany child during program. Recommend for ages birth-four years. Registration required.
