MISSION STATEMENT OF THE

FOSSIL RIDGE PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT 

The library district will satisfy the 21st Century educational, recreational, and literary needs of all ages in our communities with superior service in physical and virtual environments that provide access to the world of social and cultural ideas, and enrich the quality of lives.

Meeting Dates

The regular meetings of the Library Board will be held at the Fossil Ridge Public Library, 386 W. Kennedy Road, Braidwood, Illinois, at 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd Monday of the month. *The August meeting will be held on the fourth Monday of the month.

PUBLIC NOTICE:

The Regular Board Meeting of the Fossil Ridge Public Library District Board of Trustees will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fossil Ridge Public Library, 386 West Kennedy Road,Braidwood, IL 60408.

This public body may adjourn to closed session to discuss matters so permitted, and may act upon such matters upon returning to open session. Any individual requiring special accommodations as specified by the American with Disabilities Act is requested to notify Fossil Ridge Public Library at 815-458-2187 at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting date.

Thursdays 10:00-11:00. Toddlers and their caregivers can explore and play with different toys and sensory materials each week, develop fine and gross motor skills, as well as social interaction and language skills. Caregivers must accompany child during program. Recommend for ages birth-four years. Registration required  
Try this new take on a timeless craft. No need to be a full-fledged artist. If you can trace, color and thread a needle, you can create beautiful art. Registration is required. 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Mondays 5:00-7:00 4th Monday of the Month January 28th, February 25th, March 25th, & April 22nd.  This instructor lead program introduces children to the joys of preparing and cooking food that is both nutritious and delicious. Children ages 2nd– 5th grade, $2.00 supply fee due at registration, registration required, 20 children max.  
Wednesday Mornings 10:30-11:00. Lap-Sit is an interactive program for children ages birth to 24 months and their caregivers. You’ll sing songs, fingerplays, and enjoy reading time together. Registration is required, caregiver must attend with child.  
Come out for an afternoon of fun! Everyone who attends should bring a white elephant prize. Something funny, useful,  impractical, pretty, silly … anything! Winners will choose from the imaginative selection of prizes. Refreshments provided. Registration required.
